Overview
Yellowwood Technologies, LLC ("Yellowwood," "we," "us," or "our") operates workflow software and a membership platform for capital partners engaged in direct-deal investing. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect information submitted through our website and platform, and describes the choices available to you regarding that information.
We built Yellowwood around a private-by-default posture. That principle applies to how we handle your data as much as it applies to how the platform handles deal information.

We use this information to understand how the website is used and to improve it. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or sell it to third parties.
Information from third parties
We do not purchase contact lists or acquire personal data from data brokers.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
To operate the platform. Deal materials, company information, and related submissions are used to generate the workflow outputs the platform is designed to provide — Triage Cards, Deal Memos, Snapshot Reports, and diligence checklists.
To manage access and membership. Information submitted through the access request process is used to evaluate fit, prepare for onboarding conversations, and configure the platform around your firm's thesis and workflow.
To communicate with you. We use your contact information to respond to inquiries, send information relevant to your account, and communicate about platform updates or membership developments.
To improve the platform. We use aggregated, non-identifiable usage information to understand how the platform is being used and where it can be improved.
To comply with legal obligations. We may use or retain information as required by applicable law.
We do not use submitted deal information, company materials, or platform outputs for any purpose beyond the workflows described above.
3. What We Do Not Do
To be direct about several specific commitments:
-
We do not sell your data. Personal information, deal materials, and company submissions are not sold to third parties, data brokers, advertisers, or other capital partners.
-
We do not use your data to train public AI models. Information submitted through the platform is not used to train or improve publicly available artificial intelligence models.
-
We do not share deal information with Y Capital Partners, LLC by default. Yellowwood Technologies, LLC and Y Capital Partners, LLC are separate entities. Customer dealflow submitted through Yellowwood is not automatically shared with Y Capital Partners, LLC, and Y Capital Partners, LLC does not receive preferential access to Yellowwood customer data.
-
We do not contact companies on your behalf without your direction. Outreach to companies through the platform is investor-controlled. Yellowwood does not initiate company contact automatically.
4. How Information Is Shared
Yellowwood does not sell or rent personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
With service providers. We work with third-party vendors who help us operate the platform, including cloud infrastructure, data storage, and analytics providers. These providers access information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are required to protect it.
Within workflows you initiate. When you invite a company into a Yellowwood workflow, that company receives the outputs designated for them — specifically the Snapshot Report. Information shared in that context is governed by the workflow you initiated.
With your consent. We may share information in other ways when you have explicitly directed us to do so — for example, if you choose to participate in the Yellowwood Network or member collaboration features.
For legal compliance. We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Yellowwood, our users, or others.
In connection with a business transaction. If Yellowwood is acquired, merged, or undergoes a similar business transaction, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We would notify affected users in advance where required by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Deal materials and platform submissions are retained in accordance with our data retention practices and applicable legal requirements.
If you would like us to delete your information, please contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We will honor deletion requests to the extent permitted by law and consistent with our operational and legal obligations.
6. Security
Yellowwood uses technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include encryption of data in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and systems designed for the controlled handling of sensitive investment materials.
No system is completely secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
7. The Yellowwood Network and Member Collaboration
When a company chooses to enter the Yellowwood Network, their information may be surfaced to capital partners whose investment thesis appears to match. This is opt-in, not automatic. Companies that do not choose to enter the Network are not surfaced to other capital partners.
Member collaboration features, when available, allow members to explore selected opportunities with other members in a private, controlled setting. Participation in these features is voluntary and governed by the terms applicable to those features at the time of their release.
8. Cookies and Tracking
Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. We do not use tracking technologies to serve targeted advertising.
You can control cookie settings through your browser. Disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain parts of the website.
9. Children's Privacy
The Yellowwood platform is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of the page. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice through the platform or by email. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
